Renamed!

So yeah, this is a book-keeping/administrative post, mainly.

I finally decided to change this name of this blog to be consistent with my "Branding" on other platforms like Tumblr and also my lame-ass Anime podcast on Anchor.fm which has like 3 episodes and I really need to get on that soon....I use music (mostly J-Pop/Rock & K-Pop) from Spotify for the intro and outro which means that you can ONLY listen to my podcast on Spotify and nowhere else.  Their rules, gotta play or PAY, y'know?  I'm much more frequently posting on my Tumblr because it's easier and more accessible...though sometimes I just ramble my anime thoughts on my Twitter instead (@JJRonald71) in between commenting on local sports and current affairs, etc.

I'd just as soon forget my Blog's cringey original name......this is the Gen X Otaku: The OG Blog.  My Tumblr (which came later, duh) is simply Gen X Otaku.  I'm a Gen X'er, I graduated High School in 1989.  I turned goddamn 50 this year.  My first proper anime was Speed Racer but also loved Star Blazers (Space Battleship Yamato), Battle of the Planets (Bastardized Gatchaman), but by the time ROBOTECH (SDSF Macross) rolled out I was feeling (foolishly) "too old" for anime so I didn't watch it....I came back to Anime fandom when Cowboy Bebop aired on cable television circa 2000 and I watched it religiously.  Ditto Samurai Champloo, since it was by the same director.

Anyway. if the muse moves me, I'll drop essay length reviews & thoughts here.  If I'm frazzled and pressed for time, look for a few pretty pictures on my Tumblr and a few pithy paragraphs about the newest hotness from Japan to catch my eye.  Lots of times just have to make do with that.
